Evan Prodromou - der Entwickler von Identica - hat mitgewirkt eine gemeinnützige Organisation zu gründen, deren Ziel es ist, mithilfe des offenen Standardprotokolls ActivityPub Verbindungen zwischen sozialen Plattformen herzustellen.
Das Programm der Stiftung konzentriert sich auf:
- Aufklärung des allgemeinen und gezielten Publikums über das soziale Web
- Information politischer Entscheidungsträger über Themen im sozialen Web
- Verbesserung und Erweiterung des ActivityPub-Protokolls
- Entwicklung von Tools und Infrastruktur
Grundsätzlich hört sich das für mich schon mal ganz interessant an. Bin gespannt, was davon in der Praxis rumkommt.
