Commanche-Markdon as a content type – what’s it for?
The “Website” and “Block” design tools allow you to select “Commanche Layout” under “Page content type”. What’s the point of that?
Surely the layout of a webpage is determined by selecting the ‘Layout’. What would be the point of designing a webpage yourself using Commanche? Especially as practically no actual content could be defined with it.
I thought that perhaps this would make it possible to create a webpage using, for example, self-created blocks. However, practical tests showed that, for instance, the Commanche tags [block][/block] are not rendered in the preview, and that such a webpage simply produces an error message when accessed after saving.
What practical use case am I overlooking? Or is this an option that has accidentally slipped into the drop-down list, which doesn’t actually make sense and doesn’t work at all?
