comments for "Anybody on the Internet" does not work

comments for "Anybody on the Internet" does not work

for a test channel i set:

/settings/channel
channel role > Custom

/settings/privacy

Advanced configuration > Can comment on or like my posts > "Anybody on the Internet"

but comments are not possible for "Anybody on the Internet"

i checked on an other hub - there it works... so it must be my hub... what could be the reason - and how could i fix this?

Please try temporarily disabling the ‘Reply on comment’ option in settings/features ➔ Conversation for the hub/channel where it is not working, so that the comment field appears below the thread as it did before. Does commenting then work for ‘Everyone on the internet’?

I have now tried it with different channels on both of my hubs and also with a channel on Zotum. And it seems to be the case that public commenting only works when the ‘Reply on comment’ option is disabled. If the option is enabled, the reply icon is not visible. I guess this is due to the fact that you have to enter a name and email address for an unauthenticated comment. There are fields for this in the comment editor below the thread (as displayed when the option is disabled), but not in the modal comment editor that is displayed when replying to comments.
