[Feature Request] Extension of the insertion of images from cloud storage

It would be desirable if the insertion of images via the icon in the post editor did not only display the scaled image and the link to the storage location in the form

[zrl=//image/][zmg=x]/photo/[/zmg][/zrl]

but in the form

[zrl=//image/][zmg width="" height="" title=""]/photo/[/zmg][/zrl]

This would allow the comment from the photo management, which is certainly saved in the DB, to be used as alt text for the image description. A very popular feature and important in terms of UX.

Is this awkward to implement?

It would also make a lot of sense to enable the insertion of images stored in the cloud (photo album) as a button with the same functionality in the comment editor (comments on posts).

The main reason for this feature request was the lack of a simple alt-text function for image descriptions.

It is feasible, but it requires editing the source code of the posting. In terms of UX, using the comment to image would be suitable and it would actually only be a change to what the selection of an image from the gallery inserts into the editor.

And I also see no reason why the button is not present in the comment editor (there may be a reason I don't see).

Copying images from the clipboard is not possible at all,

by a ToplevenPost you can dran and drop an image into the post editor
and

you can always copy the code to embed an image you have in the cloud

But as far as I understand it, Hubzilla's fundamentally different idea doesn't allow for something “simple” like that, because everything is accompanied by a sophisticated assignment of rights.

No, that has nothing to do with not being able to paste an image into a post. That's simply because nobody has implemented it (yet.)
