Curious timeout problem when accessing the admin page
About half an hour ago I had a perplexing problem with my two hubs. They were working perfectly. However, when calling up the admin interface, they both ran into a 504 gateway timeout. Both hubs run on completely different and independent VPSs. The error persisted for about 15(?) minutes or a little longer. After that, the admin page worked again on both hubs.
What could this have to do with? As I understand it, it is likely that when the admin interface is called up, some other server is called up which was probably down for this time. Is it due to a library that is integrated from another server (and apparently only for the admin interface, because all other apps - as far as I tried them during the time of the malfunction - ran without errors)? Or is some server being called for other reasons to display the admin page, so that my server is stuck unless the other server responds?
Since the outage, the admin page is now continuously available again on both hubs. Nevertheless, I would be interested to know what the cause could have been.
