Getting rid of unwanted "New Connections" notification?

I just received a connection from someone that I don't want on my connections list. How do I make this disappear?

Is there any way to get rid of the "New Connections" notification without "Approving" the connection?

Edit the connection and delete it. The notification will disappear, the actor won't be on your connections list, but they will still follow you.

Thanks. Somehow I'd been seeing the "Delete" option for editing connections.

Settings -> Channel settings -> Notification settings ->

Send a notification email when: You receive a connection request -> No
Show visual notifications including: New connections (Recommended) -> No

Just to confirm, the above would remove *all* new connection notifications, right? That's not what I would have wanted.
