just found out about a DetaChat - Mastodon bridge
https://github.com/simplebot-org/simplebot_mastodon
It works with the Masto API :-(
would be interesting to make it work also with the Hubzilla API - Do you think it is possible?

DeltaChat is a chat app based on the email protocol. A bridge would make little sense for 1:1 chats. It would be conceivable to create a bridge to group chats. Ultimately, all you would need is a mail plugin for Hubzilla that works with IMAP and allows email addresses as connections/channel sources.
Personally, I love DeltaChat, but unfortunately it is not really relevant (yet?). Hardly anyone uses it, even though anyone with an email address can use it... and even those without one (they offer chatmail servers for this purpose). What's great about it is its decentralised principle and the really low barriers to use.
Nevertheless, hardly anyone uses it.

deltachat is very easy to connect to - it works decentral and I love the p2p deltachat webxdc apps

Yeah the webxdc apps are great. Theyβre not bound to deltachat though.
I think supporting them natively could be something for Hubzilla.
