Channels and connections

A channel is your basic (id)entity in the grid. A channel can represent many different things: a person, a blog, or a forum, ...
Channels can establish connections with other channels to share information with very detailed permissions. Channels are addressed using the familiar handle format channel@hub.domain
You can connect with users from other Hubzilla servers (via Zot), ActivityPub-based servers (Friendica, Mastodon, Misskey, Pleroma, Peertube, Pixelfed, Funkwhale, and many more) and Diaspora servers. You can also allow people who do not have an account with a social service to access your privacy-protected content through ‘guest access’. Your public posts are also available as an RSS feed.
