Hubzilla combines security, privacy, access control and ownership on a single platform.

With Hubzilla, you can share posts and information about yourself in a way that suits the situation, and keep them as private as you want forever, using nomadic identities, connection groups and access control. You can easily keep unwanted content away.

• Get online with your own website, blog, vlog/video channel or audio podcast and retain full control over it. You retain ownership of your identity and data.
• Make your identities nomadic by cloning them or moving them between servers. Simply take your connections and data with you. Downtime, data loss and server shutdowns will no longer affect you.
• Manage multiple identities and target groups (e.g. family & friends, colleagues, hobbies, blogging, video tutorials, community services) with a single account.
• Control access to each published item with precision. Allow access to selected connections, guests or connection lists.
• Filter out illegal, offensive or otherwise undesirable content and block identities that distribute such content, either as an administrator for your entire hub or as a user for your channels.
• If you prefer, you can simply install your own hub on a web host, a dedicated/virtual/home server or a Raspberry Pi. You have the choice between manual web installation, an automatic installation script, a Docker container or preconfigured apps (e.g. with Yunohost).

All content is forwarded privately using cross-location (remote) authentication, which is encrypted by default, as well as optional peer-to-peer encryption for sensitive content.
