What can you do with Hubzilla?
Hubzilla is a Fediverse service that allows you to participate in the social network ‘Fediverse’ as normal. Write posts or comments, send private messages regardless of which Fediverse service the recipient is using, like or dislike content, share or repeat content.
But Hubzilla is even more than that. If you want and need it, you can use many more features of Hubzilla, which is a full-fledged content management system (CMS), more specifically a social networking content management system (SN-CMS). Everything under one hood:
- Web pages
Create web pages using a layout framework. Allow selected connections to view or edit them. - Wiki
Create wikis. Allow selected contacts to view or edit your wiki pages. Track changes to content. - Calendar
Manage one or more calendars. Just for yourself, for selected contacts, or publicly. - Address book
Create an address book. - Create personal planning cards
Create personal planning cards or use them to organise various information. Make the cards available to selected contacts. - Cloud storage
Use the cloud storage provided by Hubzilla. Integrate your data from the cloud into your local file system using WebDAV or use it in apps that allow WebDAV integration. - Photo gallery
Manage your photos with the photo gallery, photo management or file management features of your cloud. - Chat
Chat with other users of your hub. Using add-ons, it is also possible to display an XMPP client or a client for communicating with an IRC service. - Notes
A ‘notepad’ for quick, unorganised notes is available at any time. - Basic shopping cart services for orders and payments
- Post your content to various journaling services
Post your content on Dreamwidth, Insanejournal or Livejournal. - Flashcards
Use a flashcard system. Share your flashcards with selected contacts as needed. - Rendezvous
Share your location in real time on a dynamic map.
