icons
Since the HZ project moved to include bootstrap icons and dismissed Fork-Awesome icons we now have not so many icons for fedi projects at hand.
or
Do you know an easy way to include fedi projects icons in a HZ webpage - please tell me - Thanks

Not sure what you're after, but can't you just use an image file with the icon?

You could embed ForkAwesome in your web pages and continue to use the font.

It's not about the picker itself. There was something like that up to a certain version of Hubzilla. It was called βsmileybuttonβ or something.
Theoretically, there is still one (in the add-on). But it only displays a very small selection (12), even though it is installed with three quite large emoji sets. But it would just make sense if the user had the option of uploading further emojis and making them accessible in the picker. And such a picker should just be available in every editor area (i.e. posts, articles, comments...) and not just as a reaction comment exclusively at the initial posting.

I can't remember when and with which version they were thrown out. I'll have to dig through the repo archive.

That was probably removed in version 9.0 RC:

The question for me remains: Why was this add-on, which actually works quite well (especially in the editor), removed? So completely? Not just moved to the unattended add-ons. It would have been a nice basis for building a more convenient add-on. But the fact that it was removed without a trace leads me to suspect that there might have been insurmountable incompatibilities from version 9 onwards...

Fork Awesome is deprecated! Please use a different icon system.
Some people are working on resurrecting it. Also, it's really just unmaintained at the moment. There is nothing actually wrong with the font itself. It's just not being updated.
