If 'stream' content fails to load and that "spinning circle" continues forever, what part of the database causes this to occur?

@od This is most likely your server running out of resources. It may have reached the limit for number of database connections, but it may just as well be that it has run out of PHP runners. It all depends a bit on how the server is set up. The server logs should help you pinpoint exactly what the problem is.

That probably means you are either not running your own server, or you are using apache. It's difficult to help without more information.

Where to change the number of database connections

In your database configuration. This will depend on which database engine you are running.

How does the server log pinpoint the error?

Errors that occur when the software is running is logged in the server log files. By reading these error messages, you should get an idea of what went wrong, or at least what to ask about.

If you are not running your own server, you need to report the issue to those that do. They will know how to check these things. Having the date and time of when the error occured will help with locating the error in the log files.

I'll stop the ‘feeding’ here now and recommend anyone who thinks Hubzilla is so bad to simply use another, better system.

Moral of the day: If you ‘’play your instance to pieces‘’, it simply causes problems.
