Cannot clone my channel
For some unknown reason, cloning my channel from hub.hubzilla.de doesn't work. At all. It didn't work when both sides ran Hubzilla 9.0.2, and it still doesn't work with both sides running Hubzilla 9.2.
When trying to clone over the network, I enter everything necessary, my channel address, my mail address, my password. I also choose to clone my files, and I enter a new ID because I think I might have had a clone on the particular target hub in the past, but deleted it because it was incomplete.
Then I click Send.
The expected outcome would be for the cloning process to start and go all the way through.
The actual outcome is that nothing happens, the entry mask is cleared almost immediately, and in another tab that has the same target hub open, I get a message that the data couldn't be downloaded.
The same, but without importing my files, leads to the exact same result.
When I try to clone by uploading, regardless of whether or not I try to have my files imported, Hubzilla seems to do something for a few seconds. Then it opens the HQ of the channel that alread exists on the target hub.
When I check the channels, only this one channel exists. No clone has been created.
Now I'm wondering if there could be anything on the receiving side that prevents new channels from being created under existing accounts. siteinfo.json gives no hints other than that registration is closed now, but it didn't work when registration was still open either.
PS: Let's see if this post goes anywhere now.
